Midsummer 2007

A classic Swedish Midsummer contains rain. Preferably after the festivities are over. This year it was a perfect midsummer and we say thank you to our friends, who indulge us in tribal dancing and raw fish and hope to see you for our combined Swedish pagan sunfest and 4th of July bbq next year again.

Joe and Baby camels. 2 weeks old and very fluffy.

One night in Tunis

Actually it was 2 nights and 2 days. Wendy and Stephen were kind enough to invite us to their wedding at the beautiful Residence Tunis, near Carthage on June 9th. We left Kajsa, Vera and Axel in the capable hands of Susanne and Emma, checked in at the Sofitel at Gatwick on Thursday night and were pleasantly surprised over the efficiency at Gatwick, as well as a very short and painless 2,5h flight.
Unfortunately, our luggage didn't make it.
Wendy and Stephen are lovely people with fabulous friends, who immdediately lent us clothes and gear (thanks Lisa!) and in a setting like this, it was too nice to get all worked up about it. And the bags arrived 1,5h before the wedding, so just enough time to have them pressed.
The pictures are pretty bad, but take our word for it - it's an absolutely wonderful place, well worth going to. With or without kids. Don't be put off by the rather terrible website... http://www.theresidence-tunis.com/en/
We'll be back!
